Natalie and I went to Glorieta w/ the BSU to watch over the staffs’ kids during the sessions…which gave us gobs of time to go do whatever. We decided to eat at the famous Blue Corn Cafe one night near the plaza, Santa Fe. For you guys who have eaten there, you can just nod your heads and drool. The table was perfect, next to a window facing the west giving a great view of Santa Fe streets and the sunset. We ordered our meals and took part in the best mexican cuisine I’ve ever had. I ordered the first item, the enchiladas. I always rate a mexican restaurant on the basic meal of the enchilada dinner. I also ordered a freshly squeezed limeade that was superb. Natalie ordered a tamale plate (with a side of homemade gaucamole, which was just awesome along w/ both our meals) which she gave top nods. After the dinner we were given sopapillas that were of the doughy feel, which turned out a great end to the meal. After eating and watching the western sunset over the desert mountains we caught a brief sound of the flamenco guitarist who was playing below in the buildings court. How southwest can you get?
The pic is of the beautiful St. Francis Cathedral which is downtown Santa Fe at night.
